2026 build log · January 1–October 9 · Snapshot taken

A record of my building activity across GitHub and Origin: code, experiments, documentation, and the work that goes into shipping projects.

Keep building. Cumulative raw lines added rise from zero in January to 3.40 million on October 9, 2026, with the largest jump in September. The build log covers 4,047 non-merge commits across 89 repositories and a net increase of 3.01 million lines.
Raw additions include code, docs, datasets, generated files, and dependencies. The curve uses commit dates; the same commit mirrored on both hosts counts once.

How the numbers were counted
  • Scope: commits attributed to my personal and work GitHub identities, plus matching authorship on Origin, in the accessible remote branch history.
  • One commit, one entry: identical commit hashes are counted once across branches, repositories, and hosts. Merge commits are excluded.
  • Dates: January 1–October 9, 2026, grouped in America/Denver by commit date. These dates approximate activity; they are not a log of exact push times.
  • Lines: additions and deletions are Git diff statistics for tracked text. Net lines equal additions minus deletions. Revisions, imported datasets, generated files, and bundled dependencies all contribute.
  • Origin: 117 repositories were checked against GitHub. Their history was already represented apart from one empty initialization commit, which adds one commit and one repository but no lines.

This is a fixed snapshot, not a live counter. It excludes work that was never pushed, inaccessible or deleted history, and commits that could not be attributed to my identities. The totals do not represent unique handwritten source code or the current size of my projects.

What this tells me

The useful part is seeing the rhythm of building: steady work, quieter stretches, and periods where a lot lands at once. September contributed 1.44 million raw additions, including large data imports.

Line volume is an activity measure. Useful software, reliability, and time saved are the outcomes that matter. This page is a build log I can look back on as those projects develop.
